So many people associate it with a "medical procedure" and yet it's obviously not! Surgeries occur like clockwork, medical procedures are done the same every time. But birth... it's such a different story! Even when you go in with a game plan and the best of intentions, it can all turn in a second. I have 3 kids and 3 completely different birth stories!! One was born after 35 hours of horrible back labor. One was born after 3 hours of labor in an elevator. And the last was my perfectly ideal birth. Thanks for sharing your story - it's good for expectant moms especially to know that things can happen - and be prepared!
